Greetings fellow visitors!
My website is solely about Academic Decathlon at Birmingham High
School and my experience in
joining the class. I hope to motivate most of you to take part in your
school's Academic Decathlon team as well. The more dedicated the team is
the harder the competition gets.
What is Academic Decathlon?
Academic Decathlon is a fun and extra curricular activity. It is based
on studying a certain topic yearly and competing in March to determine
whether any of the information remained in your brain. This also helps
you in all of your classes because it covers all topics such as art,
math, music, economy, history, literature, and test taking strategies.
Academic Decathlon is also considered a sport and many colleges look for
this as a boost to your applying.
Why join
Academic Decathlon?
Join this hobby because you would not regret it. This class benefits you
in many ways possible. It helps you become more socially active that you
are able to speak in front of large crowds. You enhance your writing
techniques greatly with the use of better vocabulary words, syntax, and
of course providing interest to your readers. Furthermore, you become
more aware with current events. You have to pay attention to them
because one of the interview question may be on them. One also enhances
their testing strategies because they master eliminating processes and
understanding what the question is inferring.
